IN THE TRENCHES WITH DOTHMAN

 
PDP candidate for Ondo State House of Assembly(Odigbo Constituency 1), Hon. Dotun Olorunyomi(Dothman) is not just sitting on the couch with a glass of wine, relying on the good legacies of his late father, the former Odigbo Local Government chairman and school principal, Chief Isiaka Olorunyomi or some empty prophecies.

He is going into the trenches; into the nook and cranny of remote villages in Odigbo Ward, on bikes to meet the masses who are mostly farmers, artisans and traders, seeking their supports and votes ahead of the 2023 general elections.
It's interesting to know that the voting capacity of some of these remote villages outweigh that of major towns in Odigbo Constituency 1 judging by the recent electoral results.

Therefore his first port of call was the Palace of the Oloja of Akinfolarin, Baba Festus Akinmutimi, who gave his blessings and urged the Dothman entourage on, before proceeding to the village centre where jubilant party members as well as loyalists were waiting to receive him. 

The massive turn out and supports received yesterday at Akintola was impressively encouraging. A pointer that the people are ready to effect lasting, genuine change at the next poll.

I want people to remember my town when ever they hear my name;

 In an interview conducted by Odigbo Newspaper on Sunday 14th February 2021 with Temitope Olaoye King Atayese, "He said he is proud to be an Odigbo boy. In the next two years I want people to remember Odigbo my town whenever they hear my name, for example people remember Ekiti whenever they heard the name of Yinka Ayefele and people remember Ondo City when they heard the name of King Sunny Ade, so I pray that God should let the name of my town be heard whenever they hear my name".
