CHIEF (MRS) OLAFUNMILOYE FELICITATES, LAUDS ADC AT ODIGBO WARD UNVEILING
18th December 2025 — Odigbo, Ondo State
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Odigbo Local Government recorded a major political boost on Thursday, 18th December 2025, as respected political figure Chief (Mrs) Olafunmiloye officially participated at the party’s ward unveiling ceremony held at the Party Secretariat, Odigbo.
The unveiling ceremony, which was pace setting and the first of its kind attracted party leaders, grassroots mobilizers and enthusiastic supporters, marked a significant milestone for ADC in Odigbo Ward. The event became more historic with Chief (Mrs) Olafunmiloye’s stating the origin of ADC in Odigbo LGA.
Addressing members at the gathering, Chief (Mrs) Olafunmiloye stated that the political foundation of ADC in Odigbo actually began in her residence years ago, noting that she was among the earliest pioneers who created platform and believed in the party’s ideology and long-term agenda of changing the trajectory of Nigeria into a positive one.
She stated her believe that the Coalition of parties which ADC is championing remain the only viable way to a real democracy that pays dividends to citizens. She urged all other opposition parties to come onboard the coalition movement.
She urged party members to remain steadfast, united and focused, stressing that the strength of ADC would be measured by its moral commitment and grassroots persuasion rather than financial inducements.
Chief (Mrs) Olafunmiloye also delivered a strong charge against electoral malpractice, particularly vote selling, which she described as a major factor weakening democratic development.
“Do not sell your votes when election time comes,” she warned.
“Go out and proclaim the gospel of the party. Sensitise people in your communities. Tell them to do away with vote selling during elections. Our future is not for sale.”
The veteran political mobilizer emphasized that ADC must stand as a party that enlightens voters, protects community interest, and restores democratic credibility at the grassroots.
Her formal appearance at the event was greeted with excitement by ward leaders and ordinary members, who described her action as a big encouragement and a morale booster for the party’s reorganization.
Party members noted that her declaration could stimulate wider defections as ADC continues to strengthen structures, inaugurate ward organs and prepare for broader political engagements in Odigbo and the state at large.
The 18th December unveiling at the Party Secretariat forms part of ADC’s strategy to expand visibility, mobilize loyalists and energize support networks before the next electoral cycle.
