The Only "C" Option left for us is "CONFRONTATION" By Comrade Tomiwa Matthews
I stand before you today as a representative of the resilient and unwavering people of Odigbo Local Government. Our community is currently facing a crisis that we can no longer ignore or endure silently. We have exhausted all peaceful means in our struggle to be recognized as equal citizens in our own land. Today, we find ourselves at the precipice, with the only option remaining being "CONFRONTATION".
Our discontentment arises from the attempt to impose Nwamara Eucharia upon us as the Caretaker Chairman by the First Lady of Ondo State, Mrs. Betty Akeredolu. We want to make it unequivocally clear that we shall not accept this imposition. We, the people of Odigbo, refuse to be relegated to second-class citizenship within our own homeland.
For far too long, we have been patient and have sought peaceful dialogue to address our concerns. Regrettably, our pleas have fallen on deaf ears, and our aspirations have been ignored. It is with a heavy heart that we announce our readiness to confront this injustice and demand our rightful place in our community.
We call upon all well-meaning citizens, both within and beyond Odigbo Local Government, to stand with us in this pivotal moment. Our struggle is not just about one individual; it is about the principles of justice, equity, and the right to self-determination.
We cannot entrust our inheritance, which is the local government that is closest to the people in a democracy, to a total stranger. We cherish the values and traditions that have defined us, and we are determined to protect our heritage.
We urge the relevant authorities to take note of our peaceful intentions and respond to our legitimate grievances. We remain committed to resolving this matter through dialogue, but we are prepared to take whatever action is necessary to ensure that justice prevails in Odigbo Local Government.
